Chetan Bhagat Biography
Chetan Bhagat was born in a middle-class household on April 22, 1974, in New Delhi. His father served in the Indian Army, while his mother worked for the government in the agriculture department. Ketan Bhagat is his younger brother.
In 1998, Chetan married Anusha Suryanarayan. He met her at IIM during their undergrad days. “2 States,” one of his works, was inspired by his real-life love story. Shyam Bhagat and Ishaan Bhagat are their twin sons.
Bhagat earned a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi in 1995.
Bhagat then earned a Masters of Business Administration in marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) in 1997. IIMA honored him with the “Young Alumni Achiever’s Awards 2018” in the Art & Entertainment category in June 2018.
