Dean Martin Biography
Dean Martin was born Dino Paul Crocetti on June 7, 1917, in Steubenville, Ohio to Italian parents with some American descent. He also had a brother.
He was into several trades as a teenager including bootlegging liquor, boxing and working in a steel mill. He also worked mostly as a croupier in casinos.
Dean Martin was married three times; first to Elizabeth McDonald, Dorothy Biegger and then Catherine Hawn. He had seven children, four with Elizabeth and three with Dorothy.

Dean Martin was an Italian-American singer, actor, and comedian. Martin was known as “The King of Cool” and was one of the most successful and enduring American entertainers of the mid-century. Martin’s career took off in 1946 when he teamed up with comedian Jerry Lewis to form Martin and Lewis. They played in nightclubs and went on to make numerous radio, television, and film appearances.
He also hosted his own show, The Dean Martin Show, in the late 60’s.
He was a part of the popular informal group of entertainers, Rat Pack, along with the likes of popular entertainers such as Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.
Dean Martin Death
Dean Martin unfortunately passed away on Christmas Day in 1995 after his lung cancer diagnosis in 1993. He was known as a heavy smoker hence the illness.
